⚓ To get off to a good start, begin your trip from the high point of Ajaccio, the Port Tino Rossi. You will find a car park near there and also local restaurants and fast-foods at not even 10 minutes from the marina.

Day 1: Check-in Ajaccio
⛵ Charter your boat in Ajaccio and discover the coastline and hidden bays of Corsica, the fourth-largest island in the Mediterranean.
On the first day, explore the capital Ajaccio, the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, and stroll along the picturesque streets. The city is rich in history and cultural heritage and is sure to inspire you. Visit the ruins of the Lazaretto and then treat yourself to the vibrant atmosphere to savour a glass of wine and taste the Corsican specialities at one of the local restaurants before starting your sailing adventure!
Day 2: from Ajaccio to Sagone (23 SM | 4H 30M)
On Day 2 of your Corsica sailing adventure, depart from Ajaccio and set sail northwest towards Sagone Along the way, you’ll encounter picturesque coastlines, and clear waters perfect for snorkelling or swimming stops. Also, some bays near Sagone are only accessible by boat and offer breathtaking views.
🎣 Grab your fishing gear and spend a day on deck while you fish and experience the Mediterranean paradise up close. As you approach one of Sagone’s village, you’ll be greeted by its charming coastal village located between the sea and the mountains. This backdrop will permit you to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. Sagone also offers beautiful beaches where you can relax before continuing your journey along the stunning Corsican coastline.
Day 3: from Sagone to Golfe de Porto Girolata (20 SM | 4H)
The third day of this sailing route takes you to the Gulf of Porto Girolata. You’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the rugged cliffs and turquoise waters characteristic of this region.
🏊 Take time to swim between the fascinating red rocks and then head to the village of Girolata. This beautiful place is also perfect for relaxing, snorkelling and sunbathing. Perhaps anchoring in a secluded spot to enjoy in one of Corsica‘s most beautiful bays, will be perfect.
Day 4: from Girolata to L’Île-Rousse (36 SM | 7H)
🌄 Departing from Girolata, you’ll set sail along the picturesque coastline, passing by stunning cliffs and turquoise waters. As you make your way towards L’Île-Rousse, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the serenity of the open sea.
L’Île-Rousse also offers various attractions, including historic sites like the Place Paoli, named after the Corsican patriot Pasquale Paoli, and the iconic lighthouse overlooking the Mediterranean. Alternatively, you can simply unwind on the beach and bask in the Mediterranean sunshine before continuing your sailing adventure along the Corsican coast. A stop to Saleccia beach is perfect here for the end of the day. Spend a wonderful time in unspoilt nature. Take your picnic blanket with you and enjoy the fascinating sunset, whose colour spectrum ranges from yellow to an intense orange-red.
Day 5: from L’Île-Rousse to Calvi (10 SM | 1H 50M)
🛶 Continue your amazing sailing trip towards Calvi. For those who can’t get enough of adventures, Calvi offers a range of activities, from water sports such as kayaking and paddleboarding to hiking in the nearby mountains. Alternatively, you can simply unwind on one of Calvi‘s beautiful beaches, soaking up the Mediterranean sun before returning to your boat for a tranquil evening onboard. Or, you can walk through the streets, lined with historic buildings and bustling cafés, and make your way up to the citadel for panoramic views of the surrounding area. You can also sail 10 nautical miles along the Gulf of La Revellata and stop to explore the seabed, rich in marine life.
Day 6: from Calvi to Capa Rosso – Cala Di Palu – Cargèse (24 SM | 4H 30M)
☀️ Last but not least… Set sail towards the dramatic cliffs of Capo Rosso. There you will find imposing red rocks, an incredible coastal landscape and beautiful beaches are just some of the features for which Capo Rosso is known. Enjoy sunny moments while gazing out over the Mediterranean. Capo Rosso invites you to explore, with numerous coves where you can relax and swim in the clear waters.
Sail through the rugged coastline as you then navigate to Cala di Palu, a nice cove perfect for swimming. Afterward, continue your sailing day to Cargèse, a charming village known for its Greek and Latin heritage. Relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere before anchoring for the night.
Day 7: from Cargèse – Baie de Sagone back to Ajaccio (17 SM | 3H 20M)
🌅 On your last day, leave Cargèse to sail to Baie de Sagone. Spend the last day of the week-long sailing route, exploring the picturesque bays of Sagone by boat. These are perfect for jumping into the turquoise-coloured water. Savour your last moments of your Corsica sailing holiday on the deck of the boat and enjoy the warmth of the sun’s rays. Don’t forget to leave early enough to check out at your starting point, Port Tino Russi!
