Day 1: Sailing Croatia: Arrival in Šibenik 

Begin the first day of your journey by arriving in Šibenik and checking in to your accommodation. Firstly, explore the historic city centre, including the famous UNESCO-listed St. James’ Cathedral. Also, visit the medieval fortress of St. Michael, which offers great views of the city and surrounding islands. Finally, conclude your first day by enjoying a traditional Croatian dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Sailing Croatia: Šibenik to Zlarin 4NM | 0HRS 40MIN

Depart Šibenik and set sail for the island of Zlarin, located just off the coast. Explore the car-free island, known for its aesthetic waters and tranquil atmosphere. Zlarin is known as the “Golden Island” due to its historical association with coral harvesting. Visit the local Coral Museum to learn about the island’s coral industry and admire exquisite coral jewellery and artefacts. Explore Zlarin’s rich cultural heritage by visiting historical sites such as the Church of St. Mary, the Chapel of St. Roko, and the local cemetery with its unique tombstones. Furthermore, on one of Zlarin’s beaches such as Velika and Mala Glavic and go for a swim in the Adriatic Sea. Enjoy a peaceful evening on the island while sampling local specialities like octopus salad or lamb peka, and delicious desserts such as fritule or rozata.

Day 3: Sailing Croatia: Zlarin to Prvić 2NM | 0HRS 20MIN

Sail from Zlarin to the neighboring island of Prvić. Once you land, visit the small villages of Šepurine and Prvić Luka, which are known for their preserved traditional architecture. Prvić is famous for being the final resting place of Nikola Tesla, the renowned inventor and electrical engineer. Explore the Nikola Tesla Memorial Center in Prvić Luka to learn about his life, work, and legacy. The museum features exhibits, artefacts, and interactive displays related to Tesla’s inventions and contributions to science. As well as this, explore the Museum of Faust Vrančić, dedicated to the famous Croatian inventor and polymath. Take a leisurely walk along Prvić’s scenic coastline and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. In the evening, dine at a local konoba (tavern) and sample delicious Dalmatian dishes.

Day 4: Sailing Croatia: Prvić to Kaprije 10.8NM | 1HRS 45MIN

Depart Prvić and sail to the island of Kaprije, located in the Šibenik archipelago. Explore the picturesque village of Kaprije, known for its stone houses and narrow streets. Kaprije offers several beautiful beaches where you can soak up the sun and swim in the clear waters of the Adriatic. Whether you prefer sandy shores or rocky coves, you’ll find perfect spots for sunbathing, swimming and relaxation. Take a walk to the island’s lighthouse for the best views of the Adriatic Sea. Lastly, enjoy a seafood dinner at one of the local restaurants, featuring freshly caught fish.

Day 5: Sailing Croatia: Kaprije to Tijat 7NM | 1HRS 10 MIN

Sail from Kaprije to the uninhabited island of Tijat. While it’s a relatively undeveloped island without many tourist facilities, there are still plenty of things to enjoy. Anchor in one of the secluded bays and enjoy a day of swimming, snorkelling, and sunbathing. Explore the island’s untouched nature and go for a hike to the highest point for breathtaking views. Also, you could have a picnic on the beach and relax in the peaceful surroundings. Finally, enjoy a quiet night on board or under the starry sky.

Day 6: Sailing Croatia: Tijat to Zablaće 6NM | 1HR 0MINS

Depart Tijat and sail back towards the mainland, to the village of Zablaće. Start your day by investigating the historic Church of St. John (Crkva sv. Ivana) located in the centre of Zablaće. Admire its beautiful architecture and interior decor, and learn about its significance to the local community. Secondly, visit the Solaris Beach Resort and indulge in some relaxation on the resort’s beautiful sandy beaches. Continue your exploration with the nearby Krka National Park, famous for its Skradinski Buk waterfall and lush nature. Finally, Journey to the nearby archaeological site of Burnum, located just a short drive from Zablaće. This ancient Roman military camp features well-preserved ruins, including a theatre, baths, and a military amphitheater.

Day 7: Sailing Croatia: Zablaće to Šibenik 3.25NM | 0HRS 30MIN

Depart from Zablaće back towards Šibenik. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some free time in Šibenik before departure. If time allows, visit the medieval fortress of St. Nicholas, located at the entrance of the Šibenik Channel.
