Day 1: Sardinia map, the East Coast: Check in Portisco Marina:
Firstly, to have a good start, begin from, Portisco’s natural harbour, it is situated at the southernmost end of Costa Smeralda. There, you can find restaurants, pizzerias and cafés near the marina area.
Similarly, Portisco is often referred to as the Emerald Coast (Costa Smeralda). The area is beautiful with bright blue waters hills in the background. You will find all the basic facilities you will need, along with a small range of shops and restaurants.
Day 2: Sardinia map, the East Coast: from Portisco Marina to Porto Cervo (8NM | 30 MIN):
On your second day, sail towards Porto-Cervo. Indeed, it’s a very touristy place in summer, Porto Cervo will surely enchant you with its particular streets and its charm. Approaching the marina or the more commercial streets – such as the Sottopiazza and the Passeggiata. You may, eventually, even meet some celebrities. This coastal village is in fact chosen very often by VIPs as a destination for summer holidays. For the night, you can moor at the marina. Because mooring with an anchor in this area is prohibited.
Day 3: Sardinia map, the East Coast: from Porto Cervo to Archipelago della Maddalena (10NM | 40 MIN):
Furthermore, the Maddalena archipelago, will be your next stop, which is situated approximately 10 NM from Porto Cervo. This archipelago is one of the most beautiful archipelagos in Italy. Of course,
after slowly navigating aboard your sailing boat, you’ll drop anchor in Cala Lunga. In case of a poorly ventilated day, in Cala Andreani. In the event of a strong Mistral, then we advise you to take refuge in Cala di Villamarina instead. This fascinating bay, hidden between rocks and forest, will certainly not disappoint you.
Day 4: Sardinia map, the East Coast: from the Arcipelago della Maddalena to Porto Pollo (4.5NM | 20 MIN):
Next, on the fourth day, a short navigation awaits you, which will allow you to reach Porto Pollo. On the other hand, you can spend the day visiting the city or practising some nautical activities. Indeed, this is a favourite spot for surfers, kite surfers and sailors. After some physical activity, we recommend that you focus on the local gastronomy. On the other hand, you can treat yourself to a good restaurant, such as these, that we recommend you: malloreddus (Sardinian gnocchetti), culurgiones, zuppa gallurese.
Day 5: Sardinia map, the East Coast: from Porto Pollo to Bonifacio (17.5NM | 1H15):
On day 5, continue your trip towards Bonifacio. It is one of the most spectacular natural harbours in the Mediterranean. Along with the island’s idyllic beaches and its village perched on the rock.
Day 6: Sardinia map, the East Coast: from Bonifacio to Santa Teresa (10NM | 40 MIN):
Last but not least… After a short navigation, take advantage of this magnificent village in the Gallura region. Not to be missed, the old town with its colourful streets and numerous hidden coves in which to swim. Among the many, we point out Capo Testa. Perfect for a walk in the mountains and for some diving. Furthermore, you have a magnificent view of the Lavezzi Islands, in Corsica.
Day 7: Sardinia map, the East Coast: from Santa Teresa back to Portisco marina (28NM | 2h):
Finally, on your last day, wake up early for the last day of the cruise, towards Portisco, to return to the base. Therefore, to break up the long voyage, we recommend that you to make a stopover in Mortorio. It’s an emblematic island of the Maddalena archipelago. Once you arrive in Portisco, you will have time to refuel with water and fuel before checking out with the boat owner.
