Ready for the ultimate Balearic Islands itinerary? The Mediterranean is calling. Imagine turquoise waters, hidden coves, and the freedom of your own boat. Sailing in the Balearic is the perfect setting for memories made on water.

This 7-day sailing route takes you through the best of the archipelago. You will explore Mallorca, Cabrera, Ibiza, and Formentera. Whether you want to rent a boat in Mallorca or start in Ibiza, this guide is for you.

Let’s hoist the sails!

Day 1: Palma de Mallorca to Es Trenc

Start your journey in the vibrant city of Palma. Pick up your boat and meet your skipper. Before leaving, admire the stunning Cathedral of Santa Maria from the sea.

Sail south towards Es Trenc. This beach is famous for its Caribbean-like blue water. It is a perfect spot for your first swim. Drop anchor and enjoy the sunset with a glass of local wine.

Day 2: Cabrera National Park

Leave Mallorca behind and head to the Cabrera Archipelago. This national park is a protected gem. You need a permit to anchor here, so plan ahead.

The nature here is untouched. Snorkel in the Blue Cave (Cova Blava) for a magical experience. The water is crystal clear and full of marine life. Spend a peaceful night under the stars.

Day 3: Crossing to Ibiza (Portinatx)

Today is a real sailing adventure. The crossing from Cabrera to Ibiza is about 40 nautical miles. Feel the wind in your hair and enjoy the open sea.

Arrive in Portinatx in the north of Ibiza. This area is rugged and beautiful. It offers a stark contrast to the busy south. Relax in the calm bay after your journey.

Day 4: Ibiza Town and Nightlife

Sail down the coast to Ibiza Town. You can dock at one of the exclusive marinas. Explore the historic Dalt Vila, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Wander through the white-washed streets. Enjoy a fantastic dinner at a local restaurant. If you want to party, you are in the right place. Ibiza’s nightlife is legendary for a reason.

Day 5: Formentera and Ses Illetes

A short sail brings you to paradise. Formentera is the smallest of the main islands. It is known for its laid-back vibe.

Head straight to Ses Illetes. This beach is often voted one of the best in the world. The sand is white, and the water is incredibly clear. It is the highlight of any yacht charter in Ibiza.

Day 6: Cala Saona and Es Vedrà

Sail around to Cala Saona on the west coast of Formentera. It is a stunning cove surrounded by red cliffs. The water here is shallow and turquoise.

In the afternoon, sail back towards Ibiza. Pass by the mystical rock island of Es Vedrà. Watching the sunset here is a spiritual experience. It is a moment you will never forget.

We hope to see you on board again soon!
