Day 1: Costa Brava Map: from L’ESTARTIT to PALAMÓS (15,3 NM | 1H15)
🌬️ Leaving behind the bustling harbour of L’Estartit, set sail on blue waters and through gentle winds. Along the way, you will see the rugged beauty of the Costa Brava coastline as a backdrop.
As we approach Palamós, excitement builds for the adventures awaiting us in this charming coastal town. From exploring local cuisine to soaking up the Mediterranean sun, your journey promises to be filled with memorable experiences. For a taste of local culture, visit the Fishing Museum to learn about Palamós‘ maritime heritage.
🏖️ You can also enjoy the main sandy beach or beautiful nearby coves such as Margarida Cove, a pebble beach surrounded by small fishing houses.
DAY 2: Costa Brava Map: from PALAMÓS to SANT FELIU (6,8 NM | 25 MIN)
Day 2 of your Costa Brava sailing adventure, from the charming port town of Palamós to the picturesque Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Once arrived to destination, you can visit the old seaside town that has become one of the most important centres in the Costa Brava today. With a rich tapestry of history, Catalan culture, and natural beauty, Sant Feliu invites exploration and relaxation in the city.
Day 3: Costa Brava Map: from SANT FELIU DE GUÍXOLS to BLANES (14 NM | 55 MIN)
Embark on another day of adventure. Blanes is the first town in the Costa Brava coming from the south, which is why it is known as the Portal to the Costa Brava. Its beautiful coves and beaches have transformed it into a very touristic place. You will have the opportunity to explore the town’s streets, visit historic landmarks such as the Gothic-style Church of Santa Maria. Keep in mind that one of the main attractions in this town is the Marimurtra Botanical Gardens. If you want, you can simply relax on the sandy beaches.
Day 4: Costa Brava Map: from BLANES to PLATJA D’ARO (15 NM | 1H10)
🌊 Continue your sailing trip to Aro Beach (Platja d’Aro in Catalan). Which is, along with Lloret de Mar, one of the most happening places in the Costa Brava. Although, this does not interfere with more family-oriented forms of tourism. There is an endless series of bars and restaurants along the seaside promenade and the main street. You will also find shops with popular brand name clothes and accessories.
Platja d’Aro is also a great place to enjoy a night out on the town thanks to its wide selection of nightclubs. Carnival festivities here are among the most renowned in the Costa Brava.
Day 5: Costa Brava Map: from PLATJA D’ARO to LLAFRANC (8 NM | 30 MIN)
Leaving behind the bustling energy of Platja d’Aro, continue north. You will find Llafranc, one of the coastal centres of the town of Palafrugell. On the north end of the beach, there is a small marina with 140 berths where you can moor.
🤿 You can either relax on the sandy beaches, or dive into the waters for snorkelling adventures. Also, you can explore coastal trails offering stunning vistas. If you want, you can discover cultural landmarks like the Sant Sebastià Lighthouse and taste local fresh seafood at traditional restaurants.
Day 6: Costa Brava Map: from LLAFRANC to LES MEDES (11,50 NM | 45 MIN)
Last but not least… Leave behind the quaint village of Llafranc, sail towards the mystical allure of Les Medes for a day trip. L’Estartit Marina, one of the safest and calmest ports in the area. Medes Islands (Illes Medes) respects the regulations for the protected area of the marine reserve. Which restrict the places where people can anchor and scuba dive.
🛶 You can either explore the sea caves by kayak or paddleboard. Nature enthusiasts can enjoy birdwatching at the heart of the lush vegetation, or opt to relax aboard your sailing boat.
Day 7: Costa Brava Map: from LES MEDES to L’ESTARTIT (1NM | 5 MIN)
🕶️ On your last day, you decide what you want to do! You can either stay at Les Mendes to relax or to have fun doing activities with your friends and family. Or, navigate back to check out early with the boat owner, to go and walk around and enjoy L’Estartit.
