Day 1: Tenerife map: from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to El Porís de Abona (24 NM | 1H35)
🏖️ Porís de Abona, also known simply as El Porís is a village with its best known beaches which are Playa Grande, Cardones and Los Abriguitos, where you can relax and appreciate the sun. You’ll also discover other things to do in this southern coastal village. If you get to make local friends, you will have to taste the fresh and typical seafood at seaside eateries.
Whether it’s exploring coves, enjoying water activities, or simply walking around the village’s serene ambiance, El Porís de Abona offers a peaceful escape for your first day on your sailing adventure.
Day 2: Tenerife map: from El Porís de Abona to Los Cristianos (24 NM | 1H35)
On Day 2 of your 7-day sailing route, you’ll be navigating from El Porís de Abona to Los Cristianos on the island of Tenerife. As you cruise along the coastline, you’ll see breathtaking views of the rugged volcanic landscape. You can explore the charming old town, shop for souvenirs, and stop for a break to eat Canadian cuisine. With its nice atmosphere and diverse attractions, you will enjoy your time in this village!
🐬Around Los Cristianos, you can see whales and dolphins in their natural habitat if you have a chance, so keep your eyes open!
Day 3: Tenerife map: from Los Cristianos to San Sebastián de la Gomera (22 NM | 1H30)
🌄 It is time to explore another place of the Canary Islands: San Sebastián de La Gomera. Here you can enjoy an impressive natural landscape and a unique history culture landmarks like Torre del Conde and Casa de Colón. You can even fish in the clear sea if you’re into water activities. If you get the occasion, go to the festivals if they are organised during your journey for a taste of authentic island life. We recommend you to visit the Garajonay National Park for stunning views and finish your day by enjoying the streets and a traditional dinner in one of its typical restaurants.
Day 4: Tenerife map: from San Sebastián de la Gomera to Valle Gran Rey (16NM | 1H)
🌅 Continue and sail towards the next destination: Valle Gran Rey. In this lush valley, you can enjoy a wide range of activities. Such as hiking in the hills’ trails, even enjoying the beach or simply relaxing while doing a promenade in the marina area. By the end of the day, take a moment to enjoy the sunset views over the Atlantic Ocean.
Day 5: Tenerife map: from Valle Gran Rey to Los Gigantes (42NM | 2H45)
🤿 Your next stop will be: Los Gigantes on the western coast of Tenerife. The place is located to the west of the island of Tenerife, where you will find impressive cliffs along the way. Enjoy the natural beauty of the area and feel free to swim or snorkel! Playa de los Gigantes, is a gorgeous beach to stop and relax. You can also stay on your boat deck to soak in the stunning ocean views. If you are more into activities, embark on a scenic hike in the surrounding area, to have gorgeous views on the island and the ocean.
Day 6: Tenerife map: from Los Gigantes to San Miguel de Abona – Amarilla (23NM | 1H30)
☀️ Last but not least… From Los Gigantes we go back to the south of the island, on the coast of the municipality of San Miguel de Abona. It’s a very small coast and plant in which you will have small cliffs as a background with black sand beaches. During your way back, moor at the charming marina in Amarilla Golf and explore the relaxed ambiance of San Miguel de Abona.
Day 7: Tenerife map: from San Miguel de Abona – Amarilla back to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (40NM | 2H40)
🧭 Unfortunately, our journey comes to an end. Today we will sail back to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where you will disembark. On your way back, take advantage of your last day to chill on your boat’ deck with the beautiful backdrop. You can also explore the city and visit some of its most emblematic tourist spots.
