For a 14-day sailing trip in the Cyclades islands, we recommend you to follow our route map and to begin your journey at Lavrio marina, is a town in southeastern Greece, located in the region of Attica. Lavrio is a small but bustling town, known for its picturesque harbour and its proximity to the ancient site of Thorikos, which includes remnants of ancient mines and theatres.
The Myrtoan Sea remains to be calm to sail along, so sailboats are a good choice in order to discover in the best conditions with all the comfort you need.

Day 1: Cyclades Islands map: from Lavrio to Kea (16 NM | 1H05)
Your journey begins in Lavrio, where you will board the sailboat and set sail for Kea. Kea is a beautiful island known for its hiking trails, beaches, and clear waters.
Day 2: Cyclades Islands map: from Kea to Kithnos (23 NM | 2H20)
🕶️ On day two, you will sail to Kithnos. It’s a beautiful island with a relaxed atmosphere and a unique culture. It’s mainly known for its beautiful beaches and transparent waters, as well as its traditional architecture and local cuisine. The island has many charming villages to explore, each with its own distinct character.
You can visit the island’s many beaches to swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the stunning scenery. Or you can simply relax and soak in the island’s atmosphere. Kithnos is also known for its fresh seafood, and you can enjoy delicious meals at the local tavernas.
Day 3: Cyclades Islands map: from Kithnos to Serifos (28,7 NM | 2H50)
🏖️ Next, on your third day, you’ll sail to Serifos, a beautiful island with stunning beaches and dramatic landscapes. Visit the Chora, the island’s main city where you can enjoy many bars as Gaidaros (donkey) where everybody gathers to enjoy their night.
Serifos has several beautiful beaches that are definitely worth a visit! Here are some of the best ones: Livadakia which is known for its clear waters and beautiful sandy beach, you will enjoy the stunning scenery, also Psili Ammos, and Ganema is a long beach with beautiful waters, surrounded by gorgeous cliffs.
Day 4: Cyclades Islands map: from Serifos to Sifnos (13 NM | 1H20)
🍲 Let’s move on, on your fourth day, you’ll sail to Sifnos, an island known for its traditional pottery and delicious cuisine. Visit the island’s many beaches and enjoy a meal at one of the local tavernas.
It is said that Sifnos have some of the best food in Greece, with many local specialities that are not to be missed. Some of the most famous dishes include revithada, a chickpea stew, and mastello, a dish made with lamb slow-cooked in a clay pot. The island is also known for its unique architecture, with many buildings featuring whitewashed walls and blue shutters.
Day 5: Cyclades Islands map: from Sifnos to Kimolos (15,5 NM | 1H30)
Next, you’ll sail to Kimolos, a small island with a relaxed atmosphere. The island has a unique character that sets it apart from other islands in the Cyclades, with traditional architecture, charming villages, and a rich history. Some of the most popular attractions on the island include the Byzantine castle, the ancient ruins at Ellinika, and the many beautiful beaches such as Bonatsa, Kalamitsi, and Prassa.

Day 6: Cyclades Islands map: from Kimolos to Milos (18 NM | 1H45)
🌊 To continue your sailing escape, you’ll sail to Milos. Visit the island’s many beaches and enjoy a meal at one of the local tavernas in the Chora. Milos has several stunning beaches that are definitely worth a visit! Here are some of the best ones: Sarakiniko, this beach is one of the most famous in Milos, known for its unique landscape. It’s a great spot to moor for swimming, sunbathing, and exploring the rock formations. There is also Tsigrado is a secret beach with turquoise waters, surrounded by huge cliffs.
Day 7: Cyclades Islands map: from Milos to Folegandros (39,5 NM | 4H)
On the next day, from Milos, you’ll sail near Folegandros, which is a beautiful island with a rugged landscape and stunning views. You can explore the island and visit the Chora, the island’s picturesque main town.
Day 8: Cyclades Islands map: from Folegandros to Ios (19 NM | 1H50)
🎶 Once you arrive at your next point, enjoy Ios, a popular destination for young travellers looking for a lively nightlife scene. The island has many bars and clubs, particularly in the Chora, where you can enjoy live music and dancing until the early hours of the morning. However, Ios also has a more relaxed side, with beautiful landscapes. You can visit the island’s beaches to swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the scenery. Or you can either explore the island’s hiking trails to see some of its remote spots.
🏘️ The island has many traditional villages to explore, with their own unique character. You can also enjoy the local cuisine, which includes many traditional Greek dishes made with fresh and local ingredients.
Day 9: Cyclades Islands map: from Ios to Santorini (23 NM | 2h20)
⛵ Go on with your sailing boat and head to Santorini. This island is one of the most popular islands in Greece. It is known for its stunning caldera, a large volcanic crater that offers breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. You can explore the caldera on foot, or take a boat tour to see the island from a different perspective. Santorini is also home to the ancient ruins of Akrotiri, a Minoan settlement that was buried under volcanic ash during a massive eruption more than 3,500 years ago.
🍷 Finally, be sure to try the local wine, known for its unique wine-making tradition, which involves growing grapes in baskets close to the ground to protect them from the island’s strong winds. The resulting wines are delicious and unlike anything you’ll taste elsewhere in Greece.
Day 10: Cyclades Islands map: from Santorini to Anafi (26 NM | 2H35)
⚓ From Santorini, you’ll sail to Anafi, a small island with a laid-back atmosphere. Here, you can relax on the beach, explore the island’s hiking trails. Some of the best moorings in Anafi include: Ormos Kleisidi, Ormos Ayios Nikolaos or even Ormos Katalimatsa. These are just a few of the many beautiful moorings in Anafi.
Day 11: Cyclades Islands map: from Anafi to Amorgos (42 NM | 4H10)
On day eleven, you’ll sail to Amorgos, an island with a rich history and stunning landscapes. Visit the Hozoviotissa Monastery, try the psimeni raki, the local popular drink, explore the island’s many beaches, and enjoy the local cuisine. Amorgos has several beautiful beaches to explore. Some of the best ones are: Agia Anna, Agios Pavlos, Kalotaritissa and Mouros.
These beaches are great spots for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings.
Day 12: Cyclades Islands map: from Amorgos to Naxos (40 NM 3H45)
From Amorgos, you’ll sail to Naxos, the largest island in the Cyclades. Naxos has a unique character that sets it apart from other islands in the Cyclades, with traditional architecture, charming villages, and a rich cultural heritage. Visit the Temple of Apollo and the Portara, the Chora and try the potatoes of Naxos and the Graviera cheese of Naxou as well!
Day 13: Cyclades Islands map: from Naxos to Paros (20 NM 2H)
Last but not least, Paros will be one of your last stops, this island has many beautiful beaches to explore, including:
☀️ Kolymbithres which is a unique beach with granite rock formations that have been shaped by the wind and sea into unusual shapes. The Golden Beach, which is a long sandy beach with clear waters, surrounded by beautiful cliffs. It’s a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the stunning scenery and also, Santa Maria. In addition to its beaches, Paros has many charming villages to discover. Some of the most popular villages include Naoussa, Lefkes, and Parikia.
Day 14: Cyclades Islands map: from Paros back to Lavrio (75 NM 7H30)
