Begin your Sicily sailing holiday by checking in and setting sail towards Vulcano. Before you depart, explore Capo d’Orlando and visit historical sites like the Santuario di San Filippo Apostolo.

Once you land in Vulcano, hike up to the Gran Cratere for spectacular views of the UNESCO world heritage listed Aeolian Islands and experience the island’s unique volcanic landscape. 🌋

Visit the mud baths for a refreshing spa experience. Relax on the black sand beaches of Ponente bay and Asino beach and soak up the sun.

Day 2: Map of Sicily: From Vulcano to Lipari (7.5NM | 1H)

Start the second day of your Sicilian holiday with a traditional Sicilian breakfast, “granita câ brioscia”. After lunch, get ready to sail towards Lipari. Begin your journey by delving into the island’s rich past at the Archaeological Museum.

A visit to the Castle of Lipari offers complete views of the island and its surroundings, while the nearby Cathedral of San Bartolomeo provides a historical insight. 🏰

Challenge yourself with a hike to the summit of Monte Sant’Angelo, where breathtaking views await. Sample the local cuisine and browse in charming shops of Lipari Town. Immerse yourself in the island’s thermal baths, renowned for their healing properties.

Day 3: Map of Sicily: From Lipari to Panarea (9.4NM | 1H 34M)

Before leaving the beautiful Lipari, visit “Cave di Pomice,” which offer a fascinating glimpse into the island’s geological history and industrial heritage.

As a final stop, visit Belvedere Quattrocchi, named after Giuseppe Quattrocchi, an Italian poet who was captivated by the beauty of Salina (where you will visit on day 6), for the best view of the island before you sail towards Panarea.

Enjoy dinner at Panarea’s Antonio il Macellaio restaurant and finally, savour the magical sunsets from various vantage points.

Day 4: Map of Sicily: From Panarea to Stromboli (11.7NM | 2H)

Panarea, nestled within the Aeolian archipelago off Sicily’s northern coast, offers plenty of enchanting activities despite its modest size. Begin your exploration by sunbathing on the island’s beaches like Cala Junco or Zimmari Beach. 🏖️

Visit the prehistoric village of Capo Milazzese which provides a fascinating insight into the island’s past. Embark on a hike to Punta del Corvo, the island’s highest point, offering memorable views of the Aeolian islands before you move on to Stromboli.

Day 5: Map of Sicily: From Stromboli to Filicudi (11.7NM | 2H)

Begin your exploration of Stromboli by embarking on a guided hike to the summit of the island’s active volcano, also named Stromboli. This thrilling adventure allows you to witness the spectacular eruptions and glowing lava flows against the darkened sky, an experience unlike any other. 🌋

Indulge in leisurely strolls along the streets of Stromboli, admiring the traditional houses adorned with vibrant bougainvillea. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the island’s beaches, such as Ficogrande and Piscità, where you can swim and soak up the Mediterranean sun.

Additionally, immerse yourself in the island’s rich cultural heritage by visiting historical sites like the Church of San Vincenzo ahead of your journey to Filicudi.

Additionally, visit the Cave of Perciata, an impressive natural cave adorned with stalactites and stalagmites.

If you have energy left for more hikes, you will delight in exploring trails leading to scenic viewpoints like Monte Fossa Felci, the island’s highest peak. From here, you can marvel at panoramic vistas of the surrounding Aeolian islands and the shimmering Tyrrhenian Sea. ⛰️

Experience the island’s laid-back atmosphere by strolling through its dreamy villages, such as Pecorini Mare and Valdichiesa. Then sail towards Salina for dinner in the gorgeous vineyard Capofaros. Conclude your evening by watching the gold and crimson sunset over the Tyrrhenian Sea.
