For your 7-day sailing trip, begin your journey at Mahón, Menorca‘s capital. The domes and yellow towers of the city go beyond off a cliff and overlook the sea. Before setting sail on your sailboat, you can walk through the city centre, or visit the museum, the bastion of Sant Roc, the Church of Santa Maria, and the majestic Fortaleza de la Mola is also a must-do.

The Mediterranean Sea remains to be calm to sail along the coast, so sailboats are a good choice in order to discover in the best conditions with all the comfort you need.

⚓ Port Mahon is a good starting point to sail aboard your sailboat. This natural harbour, was the target of many foreign invasions because of its importance as a commercial centre. You will find seafood restaurants, pizzeria, bars at a 2-minute walk from the marina.

DAY 1: Mediterranean Menorca: from MAHÓN to ES CASTELL (1.7 NM | 20 MIN)

On your first day, sail towards Es Castell, which is located just 5 kilometres from Mahon. It is an easternmost town in Menorca, with incredible sunsets. Said to be the first place in Spain that gets the sunlight every morning. It is a beautiful fishing village. Britain ruled there in the eighteenth century. The harbour entrance is dominated by the Castle of San Felipe, a Spanish fort built in the XVI century. The streets are very narrow with a military style structure that open slope to the bay, between the boats of colours dotting the blue sea.

☕ There are plenty of taverns, cafés and terraces that expand on the docks in the summer. On your rented sailboat you can visit the bay Cala de San Esteve that is located in about 3 km from Es Castell. Fort Marlborough built in eighteenth century is also worth to be visited.
